Entering the fashion world with his very own brand +44, Lewis Hamilton collaborated with contemporary artist Takashi Murakami to launch his first clothing collection.

Inspired by the world of anime and manga, Murakami has prepared a 6-piece capsule collection called ‘Psychedelic Speed Demon’ for +44. Murakami combined his unique style with Lewis Hamilton’s colorful street style in designs consisting of short and long sleeve t-shirts.

In line with the Drop trend in the fashion world, new pieces of Hamilton’s +44 brand were also produced in limited numbers. In the Drop culture, which is based on the fear of missing out (FOMO), the place and time of the sale of a limited number of collections are announced by the sharing made by the brands on social media. The rest depends on how willing and quick those who want to own special pieces of the brand are.

For Hamilton, the number 44 is no ordinary number. The driver, whose father’s license plate was 44 when he first started racing at the age of eight, has been using the number 44 in his car since F1 management allowed drivers to choose their own number in 2014.
