The company plans to add more brands to Avatars Store soon and bring this digital store to the VR environment. Zuckerberg also shared the looks he chose from Balenciaga, Prada, and Thom Browne.

“We’re launching our Avatars Store on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger so you can buy digital clothes to style your avatar. Digital goods will be an important way to express yourself in the metaverse and a big driver of the creative economy. I’m excited to add more brands and bring this to VR soon too. Eva Chen and I tried out some of the new looks from Balenciaga, Prada, and Thom Browne – a change of pace from my terrycloth sweater.”

Avatars Store will go live starting next week. You will be able to find digital clothing products designed by Balenciaga, Prada and Thom Browne, just like Zuckerberg, in the shop, which was opened to the users of the USA, Kanaca, Thailand and Mexico in the first place. For now, no information has been shared about the prices of clothing products. In the meantime, users who do not prefer to pay for digital clothing products will continue to have free options.
